
Treble Net Stitch


This light and breezy stitch forms a pretty grid using a mix of double and treble crochets. It’s perfect for summer pieces or anytime you want a soft, airy feel in your project.
Starting Chain
Chain a multiple of 8.
Start in the 5th chain from the hook (counts as 1 dc + ch 1).
Row 1
Work 4 dc (one in each of the next 4 chains).
Ch 3, skip 3 ch, 5 dc (one in each of the next 5 ch) — repeat across.
Ch 5 (counts as 1 dc + ch 2), turn.
Row 2
Skip 2 dc, work 1 tr, ch 1, skip 1 st, 1 tr in next.
Ch 3, skip ch-3 space, 1 tr, ch 1, skip 1, 1 tr, ch 1, skip 1, 1 tr — repeat across.
End with 1 tr in the 3rd ch of the turning chain. Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn.
Pattern Repeat
Repeat Rows 3 and 4 to continue the stitch pattern.
Row 3
Skip 1 tr, work 4 dc (one in each of the next 4 sts).
Ch 3, skip 3 sts, 5 dc (one in each of the next 5 sts) — repeat across.
Ch 5 (counts as 1 dc + ch 2), turn.
Row 4
Skip 2 dc, work 1 tr, ch 1, skip 1, 1 tr in next.
Ch 3, skip ch-3 space, 1 tr, ch 1, skip 1, 1 tr, ch 1, skip 1, 1 tr — repeat across.
End with 1 tr in the 3rd ch of the turning chain. Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn.
