
Pyramid Lace Stitch
This stitch creates stacked triangle or pyramid shapes with a mix of texture and open spaces, perfect for modern, airy designs.
Starting Chain
Chain a multiple of 7 + 2.
Start in the 3rd chain from the hook.
Row 1
Work 5 hdc, one in each chain. Ch 2, skip 2 — repeat across until you have 2 chains left.
Ch 1, hdc in the last chain. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2
Dc on the ch-1 space, ch 1, skip 1 stitch.
3 hdc, ch 1, work (dc, ch 1, dc) in the ch-2 space, ch 1, skip 1 — repeat across.
End with a dc on top of the turning chain. Ch 2, turn.
Row 3
Work 2 dc in the same stitch.
Ch 1, skip 2, hdc, ch 1, work 5 dc in the same ch-1 space between the dc — repeat across.
End with 3 dc in the last ch-1 space. Ch 2, turn.
Row 4
3 hdc, one in each of the next 3 sts, ch 2, skip 3.
Work 5 hdc, one in each stitch. Ch 2, skip 3 — repeat across.
End with 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn.
Row 5
Hdc.
Ch 1, work (dc, ch 1, dc) in the ch-2 space, ch 1, skip 1, 3 hdc — repeat across.
End with 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn.
Row 6
Hdc, ch 1, work 5 dc in the same ch-1 space between the dc, ch 1, skip 2 — repeat across.
End with hdc. Ch 2, turn.
Row 7
Work 5 hdc, one in each stitch. Ch 2, skip 3 — repeat across until 3 sts remain.
Ch 1, hdc in the turning chain. Ch 2, turn.
Pattern Repeat
Repeat Rows 2 to 7 for your desired length.
