Lace Grid Stitch

Lace Grid Stitch

✨ This stitch creates a simple lacy grid using a combo of double crochets and chain spaces. It’s beginner friendly but elegant, and perfect for lightweight projects.

Let’s get into it!

Starting Row

Step 1: Start with a foundation chain in multiples of 4 + 2 until desired length. Add 3 more ch (counts as first dc). Start working from the 5th ch from hook, work 1 dc.
Step 2: Ch 2, skip 2 ch, 2 dc — repeat this across. You’ll end with dc in the last ch.

Row 2

Step 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn. Dc in next st.
Step 4: Ch 2, skip the 2 ch, 2 dc — repeat across. End with dc in the turning ch.

Row 3

Step 5: Ch 2, turn. Sc in the next st.
Step 6: Ch 2, skip 2 and 2 sc— repeat across. End with sc in the turning ch.
