Cluster Mesh Stitch

Cluster Mesh Stitch

Hi, if you’re new here, I’m Cat! I’m on a mission to learn a new crochet stitch every day and share each one with you. Today’s stitch is the cluster mesh. It consists of one row of mesh followed by another row of clusters. It’s really easy to pick up, so let's get started!

Starting Row

Step 1: Start by making a ch in (multiples of 5) + 2 until you reach your desired length. Add 3 more ch (counts as first dc) and begin working from the 7th ch from the hook.
Step 2: (dc, ch 3, dc) into the same stitch, ch 1, skip 4 sts.
Step 3: Repeat Step 2 across the row until you have 3 sts left. End with 1 dc in the turning chain.

Row 2

Step 4: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn.
Step 5: Work 5 dc into the ch 3 space of the previous row.
Step 6: Repeat Step 5 across. End with dc in the turning ch.

Pattern Repeat

Continue alternating the two rows below for your desired length:

Row 3

Step 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn, and skip 2 sts.
Step 2:  (dc, ch 3, dc) into the same stitch, ch 1, skip 4 sts.
Step 3: Repeat Step 2 across. End with 1 dc in the turning chain.

Row 4

Step 4: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn.
Step 5: Work 5 dc into the ch 3 space.
Step 6: Repeat Step 5 across. End with dc in the turning ch.

That’s it for today’s stitch! If you give it a go, I’d be so excited to see your version, tag me @catsyarniverse or drop me a DM with any questions. See you tomorrow!
