Starting Chain
Chain a multiple of 6 + 1, then chain 3 more (counts as first dc).
Start in the 4th chain from hook and place 1 dc.
Row 1
Ch 5, skip 5 ch, (dc, ch 1, dc) in the next ch — repeat across.
End with 2 dc in the last ch.
Ch 6, turn.
Row 2
Dc in the ch-5 space, ch 3, dc in the ch-1 space (between the V-stitch), ch 3 — repeat across.
End with dc in the top of the turning chain.
Pattern Repeat
Alternate the next two rows to continue the pattern.
Row 3
Ch 3, turn. Dc on top of the dc of the previous row.
Ch 5, skip 1 dc, start on top of the next dc — (dc, ch 1, dc) in the same stitch — repeat across.
On top of the turning chain, end with 2 dc. Ch 6, turn.
Row 4
Dc in the ch-5 space, ch 3, dc in the ch-1 space, ch 3 — repeat across.
End with dc in top of turning chain.
